Last night was as credits rolled by, I saw a speechwriter given credit for Governor Palin`s speech. Perhaps she played to the gun toting mothers of some hockey leagues, but to hold her up as an example of what today`s woman is an affront to what women of today really are.
Now let us talk about her politics and records. This is a woman who has a special needs child,yet she has cut funding to special needs education in her term of Governor. Does that show what is to come?
Teen age pregnancy has gone up,yet she wants nothing but abstinence taught in our schools. She has cut funding to libraries in Alaska,yet built a new entertainment center.However she has taken 187 million dollars in earmarks for her hometown of Wasilla.
Her husband felt our government was so wrong he wanted Alaska to secede from the USA.
Yet this is what is being shoved down our throats so that John McCain can pander to the far extreme right?
It shows lack of moral character on his part,lack of family values(which they are so quick to tote) on the far right`s side that it not only sickens me,but makes me aware of what could happen under a McCain Palin Presidency. I cannot begin to fathom what will happen to our country if something were to happen to him
Is this what middle American women want, is this what the young voters of today want, is this what we as senior citizens want? I think not. I do not believe I am or is my husband a part of the 5 million dollar middle class as Senator McCain believes.
While she may govern the largest state in the Union she truly has no grasp of what it is lIke to deal with foreign governments,foreign leaders, budgets, or even the decorum to lead the life she will have to lead in DC and abroad.
I am not just afraid for our country by his 15 minute decision, but to think that this woman could have her finger on that red button at 3:00am scares the living hell out of me.
Are there any other people out there like myself who truly fear for what this could bring to our nation?

- I am a middle-aged woman of Hispanic heritage,who all the talking heads said I would be voting for Clinton. I wish I had.Never have I been more disappointed,disheartened,even desolate. Our country needed a hero,and we got a great orator who happens to be stymied every step he makes.We need a Lincoln,which is sad,because he knew he would die in office. Unless this politcal system votes term limits,the media starts showing what is really going on and not censoring things we are in deep peril.I fear for my childen,their children and our country.
