Why Do We Deny What Is Before Us?

This election was to be about change,hope, for our children`s future,the future of our planet and so many things that should matter to us as Americans.
Instead it has become really about the color of one man`s skin, no matter how brilliant or how he could lead us all into a brighter tomorrow,even though we would have to sacrifice some things to do so.
We would rather have the Wal Mart Moms talk about how pretty Sarah Plain is, how John McCain has served his county,even if he spent six years in a prison camp because maybe having graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy and having had an accident on a plane on a carrier.
How does any of this qualify either of them to be our nations leaders?
I am flummoxed, I really am. I can give no respect to someone who deserted his handicapped wife who waited for him to come home,while his relationship with his present wife was based on lies,anymore than I can respect some woman whose husband wanted to secede from these United States. Who made rape victims pay for their own rape kits while mayor, who cut more than half from the Special Olympics even though her sister and now she have special needs children. I have worked with Special Needs children for many years,and while I respect her decision to have this baby,why keep it a secret until almost the end of her pregnancy?
This country is in the throes of the worst economic disaster because of plain and simple greed of deregulation. Does anyone remember the Keating Five... I do.
That was simple greed too, headed by one of the Bush Boys and McCain,and others...
Why can`t the average person look beyond color and vote with what is a simple truth, Obama is the best choice for President and Biden has more experience in his little toe than she will ever have.
Are we really still back in the good Old boy frame of mind whee this country is still made up of the Bubba factor?
God, I hope not,because if the McCain/Palin team wins,she will become President a lot sooner than anyone thinks. She is totally unfit to run her own state let alone this country,and if this country cannot see what is in front of their eyes we are indeed a sorry bunch of people. They say you get the government you deserve, I hope and pray we have risen above all the doubts about color and religion,and vote Country First and means Obama and Biden.
