Back in early 2008,I was so excited about Barack Obabma running for President.I had watched him deliver the keynote speech at the 2004 convention and he had me from "Hello"+.
What he and we as Americans had inherited from the Bush Administrtion was something unlike most of us had never een in our lifetimes. The Republicans had sworn they would it a one term presidency.
I,in my blogs during the election cycle spoke of my heritage that I was a middle-aged Hispanic woman who was supposed to vote for Senator Clinton.I admire and respect her,but honeltly feel he had a calling for the job.
If at the beginning he had told us the truth,oh how bad things were, how we had come to the brink and the banks for al practical matter had failed we would have rolled up our sleeves and taken to do what it would be TO Get Er Done" He failed to telll the truth,he focused on getting the banks and car companies back in businees and the banks went back to business as usual.Screwing the American people.
What when he refused to give up his Blackberry little did he think that along with most things a very ill man was inventing, our own version of THomas Edison was to come up with in a very short time. First the Mac,then the Ipad,Iphone amongst others and governemnts around the world and more importantly their PEOPLE could show us their variables on revolution.Even then, did we thin it would come to America> I doubt it.
However when the Banks along with that 1% of America`s wealthy refused to pay their share of what we where once the middle class did you start to hear the fist whispers of why there if not here. If leaders in such countries as Egypt,Syria, and other nations including Libya nerves began to fray.We saw young people wanting the basic civil righs we take for granted and yet our governement continue to go on with their greedy do nothing ways.
Is it to anyone`s surprise then that sudents who cannot pay back their student loans, homeowners who were lied to about how much they could afford and the banks started lending them ridiculous amounts of monies to buy homes they could not afford all while losing jobs, kids not finding jobs while these loans are leaming over them,is anyone surprised. The governemnt has the super 9 will block any piece of legislature that comes from the Senate and sent to the White House for signing is their any way the masses and disinfranchised would claim their allies in the Mid East and other parts of the world.
If our Youth do not do what our generation did and make the change we were promised then there is very little hope for not just our children but our grandchildren.
What amazes me even the most is the lack of our so-called public media trying to surpress the story of the 99$ and other such groups, unions ect. These are your enighbors, desperation and along with that the realization that if Change is going to Come it must come from Within Us...the Populace . We have done it in the past, and now it is more important than ever.
However little you can contribute,do so,the main things that ae neeed are water, food, paper products, and food. There are marches set up for the entire country if you can use social media you a=can find one. A little star power can not hurt either.I see that Sean Penn is in Egypt trying to help them, last I heard it is more important he be speaking at one of our rallies.
If ypu want you country back, find a way to help, whether it be in person, donating food, water or even shelter but only through the chorus of many can a voice of solidarity be heard. aLet one of those voices harmonizing to bring us back to the country we were be YOURS.
In the meantime boycott the stations in your areas that are minmizing their voerage, after all the Jackson trial brings in more money in commercials, and if companies refuse to serve these people find out what chains they are and at least boycott theirs.
IT IS NOT TOO LATE AMERICA!! It can and our will be done as Americans and as citizens of the global revolution.
A call to Action form a disabled Hispanic woman who has nothing to lose as family has disowned me due to a genetic blood disorder called APS(Antiphospholipid Syndrome) which affects men and woman and is hereditary. like the rats they are from doing anything about payroll tax incentive will go nowhere now! I am sick to death of no ideas, poor leadership and though willing to work my ass off before and probably will again, but come one give me something to work with.

- I am a middle-aged woman of Hispanic heritage, who all the talking heads said I would be voting for Clinton. I wish I had.Never have I been more disappointed, disheartened, even desolate. Our country needed a hero, and we got a great orator who happens to be stymied every step he makes. We need a Lincoln, which is sad, because he knew he would die in office. Unless this politcal system votes term limits, the media starts showing what is really going on and not censoring things we are in deep peril.I fear for my childen, their children and our country.

Very good! I see we share our involvement with the 99%: http://99percentmanifesto.blogspot.com/2011/10/manifesto.html
