Why Cannot We Believe In the Promise of Honesty and Change

As I sit and watch the news pundits complain that there is nothing to connect the Obama team with the corrupt and probably crazy Gov Of Illinois, I cannot help but wonder where all the hope for change has gone?
Did he not promise us honesty and transparency in government and change in the way government would be run?
Why then when they take these constant polls do the numbers keep going up about people not having trust in what will become our new president and his team?
Is it just the other side trying to make people distrustful and pander to our fears at what is happening to our economy and what is going on in the government we have now?
I in some ways hope that is all there is. However, I feel that there may be a undercurrent of those who would love to see failure in this team before they take their oaths of office to help their own causes for what they hope will be their own political futures. Sad as it seems, that is the way the media has chosen to play this card. It seems now that even parts of the main stream media are buying into it on their slow days and are disheartened when nothing comes back to smudge honesty and truth.
Thank whomever for the internet and places like politico.com and TheHuffingtonPost.com for having the will to stand firm and tell our truths and to the bloggers.
We can have a hand in governing ourselves in this new form of government and those who oppose the truth and manufacture what they wish to be their truths are not just afraid but willing to go to any length to see that it does not happen.
Can we see that we can believe not just in the President-Elect and his team, but more importantly ourselves, because in the true force of what is to be that is what is most important.
Belief in the fact that we have chosen wisely and in the knowledge that he has also done so and the giving of time and space to allow him and his team to not just set things in motion for us here at home, but to show the world that we once again have someone who cannot just govern us but lead us into our own futures.
In the words of the late John Lennon,"Give Peace A Chance", and give Obama a chance to give us back to ourselves. I have said on more than one occasion that it will indeed take sacrifices on our parts, are we strong enough to do so? Yes~ Because for the first time in ever so many years we have chosen someone who is transparent and honest and has the knowledge and strength to take us forward. He, I believe was born to do this job,and not only has the vision, but the clarity to see through those who would try to destroy the vision we have set for ourselves. Please do not let those undercurrents cause you fear or distrust in what the Power Of One has done. We have seen Change and it is ours to grasp and hold onto.

I am a middle-aged woman of Hispanic heritage, who all the talking heads said I would be voting for Clinton. I wish I had.Never have I been more disappointed, disheartened, even desolate. Our country needed a hero, and we got a great orator who happens to be stymied every step he makes. We need a Lincoln, which is sad, because he knew he would die in office. Unless this politcal system votes term limits, the media starts showing what is really going on and not censoring things we are in deep peril.I fear for my childen, their children and our country.
