Tonight I saw the beginning of a new and better America. One that I remember when we had hope, courage, and the ability to not just think, but know that it is within our hands to make our better tommorow.
I sat and cried like a baby listening to Barack speak, not just because I support him,but because he makes me feel like we can control our owm destiny.
Not once has he lowered himself to the degrading and demeaning tactics of the McCain/ Palin ticket.
Throughout the campaign he has conducted himself as would a decent man, husband and father that any child would be proud of. More so any American if they truly love their country will put away their petty reservations, and beliefs in the lies that have been told and rally around him to be our next President.
America, we have not just a choice, but an opportunity to regain the respect of not just other other countries, but in ourselves as a nation. To once again be able to put our thoughts and ideas to work and give back to our nation free will and thought.
This man was born to lead and if you cannot see it, I feel for you,for you are leading with not just fear, but denying our future generations the right to have what we have had in the past. The ability to change the world, our own lives and the lives of future generations.
Make sure that when you wake up on Tuesday morning, the first thing you do is know where your polling place is,and make sure you allocate the time you will need to assert your right as an American to vote. Let no one tell you that you cannot, let no dissuade you. There will be enough poll workers and lawyers where needed to see that an election is not once again stolen from the Amerian people.
This is OUR TIME!! Use it wisely, and I say with gratitude to all the young people who have thrown away their cloak of apathy and have sacrificed school, work, and sleep to help in this cause. I have seen seniors who are older than me,and so many wonderful young people come from across this county to bring this to fruition.
Do not let fear mongers, apathy or anything stand in your way to take back the America that can and should shine from across the waving plains to the mountains to both sides of our seas.
It is ours to take back, be sure you do your share and take it back for all the generations that will follow us. VOTE!!!

- I am a middle-aged woman of Hispanic heritage, who all the talking heads said I would be voting for Clinton. I wish I had.Never have I been more disappointed, disheartened, even desolate. Our country needed a hero, and we got a great orator who happens to be stymied every step he makes. We need a Lincoln, which is sad, because he knew he would die in office. Unless this politcal system votes term limits, the media starts showing what is really going on and not censoring things we are in deep peril.I fear for my childen, their children and our country.
